A Card for Sandie`s Blog

Here`s a card I just finished, using Sandie`s own sketch over at her blog, I don`t usually use soft pastel colours, but I wanted to use vellum & my cuttlebug embossing folder, & this is the result...

It`s very hard to see in the scan, but I`ve used white vellum highlighted with pink ink, layered over a soft pink card, the flower stamp is an AL one & the sentiment is from a Collections plate. I decided to attach the vellum using staples to make it a bit different. Thanks for popping over.

A Card for Pernickety

Here`s my interpretation of this week`s sketch over at Pernickety`s, I don`t think I`ve ever used so many flowers on a card before, but there`s always a first time LOL. I`ve used white cs, the pp is from a DCWV stack (it has glitter on it) & I have stamped the "Happy birthday" using a clear stamp from a Kaiser set, & coloured using gel pens. Half way through making it I remembered it will be my SIL`s b`day in a week, so it already has a home...I hope she likes it.

What Goes Around...

I`ve been "tagged" by Cuchy, & here are the rules for this one:

1.- Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.

2.- Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog. Some random, some weird.

3.- Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.

4.- Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Here are the 7 facts about me:

1. I can speak, read & write both English & Spanish (though I do tend to forget Spanish words as I don`t use it very often)

2. I can not stand to feel stickiness, either on me, or on surfaces.

3. I`m a big "Doctor Who" fan (new series), I even got a "TARDIS" tin for my b`day from my DH & the boxed DVD set as well, which I have watched more times than I care to share here LOL (Thanks Darling)

4. I drink way too much coffee.

5. I`ve had the same thing for breakfast from my late teens, blackberry jam on toast & coffee.

6. I never thought I would have my own blog...ever.

7. I LOVE Spring, & flowers, even though I suffer from hay fever.

Now, I know the rules say I must tag 7 other people, but I don`t think I can come up with that many, so I`ll just tag Maevan, & hope she won`t mind too much. It is the first week of school holidays in our neck of the woods, so I haven`t been very creative, but on the up side, DD & I have been spending our days together, & talking, which makes a nice change from the "How was school today?" "Good, thanks"conversations LOL. I hope all is well in your part of the world, & as always, thanks for stopping by.

An Award

Last night I came home after a great day out, & found a comment by Lyn in my blog...Thank you Lyn, very sweet of you, but now I have to come up with 7 other bloggers who haven`t received this award. Hmmm, I don`t think I can come up with that many...

Here are the rules to the award:

1. The winner can put the logo on their blog.

2. Link the person you received the award from.

3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs

4. Put links of those blogs on yours.

5. Leave a messsage on the blogs of the people you nominated.

I`d like to present this award to Maevan, Cuchy, Godelieve & Dan, What can I say, I like to keep it global LOL. They are all bloggers who inspire me, just by sharing themselves & their beautiful works with the rest of blog-land, so this is my way of saying thanks for sharing. & don`t worry about linking back, I`m happy in the knowledge I`ve passed this on to some very deserving people. I`m only new to Blog-land, but I used to lurk in a few of these great blogs not knowing how to leave a comment, but visiting all the same. Have a great week, & keep on crafting.

Check This Out

Sorry I haven`t put up anything creative in a while, but I`ve come across this blog, & if you have the time, check it out, lots of inspiring storage ideas, & some great craft spaces. & don`t think I`ve been iddle, I have been working on my Inkurable Stampers TH swap, but I can`t share just yet...(unwritten rules of swapping LOL)...but I will share the card I made for Tarisota. It had to be a Thank you card, other than that it was up to you, & I chose to use K&Co pp, Hero Arts clear stamps (owl, which I stamped on shrink plastic,& tree), ribbon & brads. Thanks for visiting, & have a great Sunday wherever you are.

I Like Working with Sketches

Here`s a quick card I made this evening, using Sandie`s sketch over at her blog, thanks Sandie. I used up some pps from my scrap stash...I inked all the edges with red ink to unify the look, & added the computer-generated sentiment, I`m very happy with it. Another thing I`m very happy about is the fact that I found some Tim Holtz stamps yesterday, & they are here with me, all ready for me to play with, all thanks to my CC & a very helpful Karen over at Kasmos Kreationz , so now I too can join in the swap over at Inkurable Stampers TT4N, & thanks for stopping by.

A Card to Share

Here`s my take on the sketch over at Pernickety`s for this week. Torn paper flower, NO bling & some sewing, check, check & check.
I`ve used left over bits, so that`s a big plus, & although it`s hard to see from my scan, I love the texture & dimention added by scrunching & tearing up the pps. Thanks for visiting, now I better get some dinner started LOL.
