Did You Miss Me?

LOL, I'm back again, & I bring my shoe with me... I took lots of photos, I can't believe how tiny & cute it turned out. This is my entry to INKURABLE STAMPERS monthly challenge, which, if you didn't guess by now, happens to be "shoes".
I used a template from HERE for the girl shoe, but you will find lots of different links in this month's post HERE .
I started by printing out the template, cutting it & tracing it onto some caramel coloured cs, I then got some Brilliance inks in pearlescent crimson & pearlescent coral, & stamped the tiny flowers from THIS Darkroom Door set (which was the perfect size, & was already out on my craft table), I dried the images with my heat gun, & then stamped once more with Brilliance platinum, & covered the images with pewter embossing powder. I then trimmed the shoe shape & with the aid of my trusty sewing machine, ran a tiny stitch all around the edges. I then stuck the body to the bottom of the shoe, & added the velvet flower ribbon (thanks Nicole) I might eventually do the other shoe to match, can't have just one shoe floating around, right? There's still time to take part in this month's theme, in fact you have until the end of the month, & don't worry, you don't need to make a shoe to take part, just use "shoes" as your inspiration, so give it a go, use your stamps to create : )

Gothic Arches #16, #17 & #18

Gothic Arch # 16 had the theme of "birds" so I used the beautiful image from the Stampers Anon. set which had just arrived the day before (My prize for last month's entry to INKURABLE STAMPERS challenge of lavender & lime, Thank you Sarah, & Tarisota) For this arch I started by sponging red & yellow Marvy inks onto the b'ground, I then stamped the bird image, as well as the sentiment (from another Stampers Anon. set) with black Versafine ink, adding the ds satin ribbon from CRAFT QUEEN, & the Maya Road leaf pin, also from CRAFT QUEEN.
For the next arch, which is #17, the theme is "metals". I started by painting the shape with brown acrylic paint, & adding torn bits of cs which I had embossed & then painted with metallic paint in a bronze colour, I then painted & distressed the flowers (Alteration die) & stuck them down with the gem brads. The image is from Stampers Anon. & it was stamped with Versafine black ink & coloured using wc pencils. The image was stuck down using foam tape, & red rhinestones were added to the crown. The words were covered with DM.

Gothic arch #18's theme was "flowers", & I chose to paint my b'ground with turquoise acrylic paint. The flower images are by DARKROOM DOOR from THIS & THIS set. I stamped the flowers using black Versafine ink & covered them with CE powder. I then added a B & W strip of paper, & punched out a b'fly shape out of same paper. The sentiment is also from DD, from THIS set

So now that I'm caught up with the arches I might get started on my entry to this month's fun theme of "shoes" over at INKURABLE STAMPERS, there's lots of inspirational links there, so if you're stuck have a look HERE & join in. Get your stamps out & have a play : )
& don't forget to have a look HERE if you want to know how to make THIS quick banner card

& don't forget to visit the Flickr group page to see all the fantastic Gothic Arches, there's lots of very inspiring works there, enjoy :)

Gothic Arches #14 & #15

Here is my Gothic arch # 14 with the theme "Numbers" for the year-long Gothic arch challenge over at INKURABLE STAMPERS B'ground was stamped using foam stamps & acrylic paints, then each number was covered with DM, & red Marvy ink was sponged directly onto the b'ground. A piece of torn fabric was added & the image of the children (from Studio Astarte) was applied with foam tape. The sentiment is from THIS Darkroom Door set, & the wooden star button is from CRAFT QUEEN.

This is # 15 Gothic arch with the theme of "Keys" My arch shape was dry embossed using a TH folder, I then painted it with matallic paint, adding the cb heart shape (coloured with purple Stazon ink) The keyhole is from Collections, & I rubbed some brown & black ink onto it, & then rubbed some DM to give it the weathered look :) The key image is from THIS Darkroom Door set, & it has been stamped onto white cs with Versafine ink & covered with tapestry embossing powder, the sentiment is from Oxford Impressions.

Thanks for visiting, & don't forget to join in if you can : )

Happy (Belated) Father's Day

Just in case you're curious, the "thank you" card was for my hubby (he's a fantastic father to our DD) & what better way to remind him of that than with a heart-felt thank you from me :) The beautiful tree image is from THIS DD set , stamped with brown StaZon ink onto vellum. I added the cb heart, some ribbon & got my trusty sewing machine out for a spin :) The sentiment is from THIS DD set

The "fine suit" card is for a friend, the image from THIS DD set was stamped onto vellum, layered to cream cs, & trimmed with some deckle-edged scissors. I added some tiny staples, & went around the edge with my fingernail pulling back on thre vellum for a bit of added texture. The sentiment was stamped onto vellum, & highlighted the area by going over the reverse side of the image with a white wc pencil.

The Car card was for my own dad, I wanted something simple & I loved the way this card turned out. Some old pp (I think its Ink Boutique??), a stamped image from THIS DD set, a little Distress ink, some lovely velvet ribbon & a tiny cb heart :)

That's all for today, folks, enjoy your week, & don't forget to thank the fathers in your lives, after all, we wouldn't be here without them!

Gothic Arch #13

For my arch I started by painting the arch shape with a combination of bronze & viridian acrylic paints, I then added the torn-edged strip of card which I had stamped & heat-embossed using the script stamp (from THIS DD set) I also stamped & clear-embossed the word (from the same set) The Stampendous image was stamped, using black Archival ink, onto cs which I had been dabbed with different coloured Marvy inks. I added a little ds ribbon, & stuck the image on top using ds foam tape...
Now to catch up with numbers 14, 15, 16 & 17!!!!! LOL, Just like Melbourne weather, when it rains, it POURS!!
If you get the chance, have a look at all the Gothic arches in the Flickr group, lots of great inspiration, thanks for the visit & see you soon :) Off to load mine now :)

Happy Everything...

I have been so busy lately that I haven't had much of a chance to play along with the Stampotique blog challenges, but I found a bit of time this past weekend (in between creating a couple of cards for Father's day) Gibi is my newest acquisition, so I just had to ink her up for this fun challenge. I've used some DCWV pp, a tag edged with distress ink (& trimmed with a flower eyelet, a bunch of which I had forgotten I had!!!) , some letter stickers & a tiny heart button. The image was coloured in with wc pencils, & the card was framed using some gel pens (purple & white) There's still a little bit of time left to take part in the challenge... :)
