DarkRoom Door "Filmstrip" Swap
Early last week I received my returns for this great ATC swap, but as I was busy with life, I`ve just had a chance to scan & upload (my scanner has been playing up again...) So here they are: The first one is mine( I used GM on the filmstrip image), then there`s ROBYN`s "Nature`s Beauty"(with the lime & lilac colourway), followed by Helen`s Freedom(with the marbled red & black papers), then on the second row we have LEESA`s "Ebony & Ivory"(with the musical notes ribbon), followed by Simonetta`s (with the star-shaped paperclip), & Sandra`s "Venezia"(with the tiny map of Venice), then on the 3rd row, we have Wendy B`s "Music"(with the beads at the bottom), followed by Karen M`s "Explore" (with the very tactile frame), and Rhiannon R with "Dream"(with the tulip image)...thank you ladies, they are just beautiful.
My second lot of returns is as follows: The first one "Journey" is my offering(with the scrunched-up b`ground & the sewing), the second one "Some Assembly Required" is by Tracey S, & next to hers is Dallas`(both ladies included an assortment of tiny nuts & washers to go with their images, how cool!!!) Now on the second row we have Samantha`s (it took me a while to work out who Bud Abbott was, of "Abbott& Costello", the actors not the politicians LOL) & next to her we have MARIE`s "Adventure" with a great "crakled" effect on the filmstrip, & speaking of crakle, ROS has used a similar effect for the background of her "Rock&Roll" ATC. On the third row we have Sarah`s "Freedom" ATC with one of the brand new filmstrip images & words from the DRD Wilderness Vol 1 range ( great b`ground, I think she`s used the "flick" method...), We then have "Best Mates" by Sarah P (love the sewing) & last, but, by no means least, we have Damaris` "Passion" with the UTEE corner & the shimmery b`ground...Thank you ladies for taking part in the swap, & Thank you Rachel for organizing it. BTW, If you`d like to see much better photos of the ATCs, Rachel has put them up in her gallery HERE :) Go check it out....

Say Hello to "Smiley"
I mentioned in the previous post that I had used a stamp from TSQ as an incentive to get ALL the LOs done in the SBT50 CC. & yesterday I got a chance to play with my new toy...so what better way to show him off than in his very own ATC. This also happens to be my entry for this month`s great ALPHABET theme over at INKURABLE STAMPERS, where every month Sarah has some great prizes up for grabs, & all you have to do is follow the set theme. The first image is a scan, but as always, it`s hard to see the dimentional details in a scan, so I`ve also included some photos...He is very cute, don`t you think?
I used my first ever UM alphas, a set that`s been with me for so long, I can`t even remember where I got it from LOL. It is a Leave Memories "Our Baby" UM red rubber plate, which I have mounted onto EZimount & cut up (90+ letters in a mix of UC & LC)
I started off by stamping a random arrangement of the "QUIRKY" letters for the b`ground using the LM stamps, gold ink & gold EP. I then stamped "Smiley" from Stampotique (from TSQ) using Versafine Onyx black ink & clear EP. I then stamped a second "Smiley" onto a scrap of same colour card, using the same technique, & I "painted" his face & hands with bleach, & added highlights with my white Signo pen.
I then stuck him down using DSfoam tape.
For the mounted letters spelling out "QUIRKY" I`ve used my newest alpha purchase, a set from Studio G (series 15) using red, yellow & purple Stazon ink onto fawn coloured BB cs, & his tie is a bow from a Cuttlebug die set (Springtime? I think) & it`s covered with KG.

On a very different note, I just noticed I have two new followers, thank you, it`s nice to know that I`m not just talking to myself LOL. & while I think of it, I haven`t had any comments over HERE : ( I know the photos look big, but they are ATC-sized ATCs LOL, maybe I`ll change the post slightly... Well, if you`ve read through this I thank you for your time & hope you`ll be back, stay inky & CREATE something : )
4 Lay-Outs to Share...
Yes, you read correctly!!! This past weekend was the ScrapBookingTop50 CyberCrop, & I did ALL FOUR challenges...The CCs had gone missing for a while there, which would probably explain why I hadn`t scrapped as much. My excuse is I work better under time restrictions...but maybe it`s just having a set criteria to work with, I don`t have to think as much LOL (!) Anyway, here they are:
Top LO was for chall # 1 "A Place For Everything"
2nd LO was for chall # 3 "My Treasure"
3rd LO was for chall # 2 "When You Were a Fairy"
4th LO was for chall # 4 "Meet`n`Greet" & this one was by far the hardest challenge in the CC, we had to work with lime, orange, yellow & pink pp only (though Victoria ammended it to allow the use of 1 plain cs colour), it had to feature a hand-made embellishment that had something to do with Friday 13th, the title of the LO had to rhyme, & the number 13 had to appear somewhere in the LO. For me, just remembering to include ALL the criteria was enough of a challenge LOL. There were some great incentives to take part, & I`m very happy to say I won the PARTICIPATION prize!!!! But my own motivation for scrapping (other than to remind myself that I can use my supplies for not only ATCs, but scrapping as well LOL) was a new stamp from TSQ : ) I`ll be back later with my entry to this month`s great theme over at INKURABLE STAMPERS...

Well-Travelled ATCs
Unfortunately, I haven`t been in a very creative mood of late, I think it`s time to clean up my craft space again :) but I will share a card I made for Mum last week, something nice & cheery to start with LOL,, it says "happy Birthday" in Spanish, I just love that moose :)
But I did receive some wonderful art in my mailbox, so I`ll share them here. Firstly, the 2 beautiful ATC returns below are from Carole L (from my ATC-friends Yahoo group) I love her attention to detail, thank you Carole.

Next, you may remember THESE, & these are my returns. The swap was a competition hosted by CRAFTY INDIVIDUALS in the UK (thank you Jean & Malcolm for hosting) & my returns came all the way from the UK & 1 from Germany, so I was very excited to add these little beauties to my ATC collection :)
The first one is titled Pink Passion, & was made by Anne-Marie (UK), the second one is cleverly titled "Date By the Sea", & was made by ILONKA (Germany), next we have ROSIE`s "Play to Win" (UK) love those little dominoes, & while you`re visiting Rosie, have a look at her great CHALLENGE BLOG . Last, but by no means least, the little B&W beauty was made by Val W (UK) & is titled "Heart-felt". I know Anne-Marie received my "Old-Fashioned Girl" in her returns, but I don`t know where the other 3 went, though I`m sure they`ve gone to good homes :)
Next, my ATCs for my yahoo group, the first one was for the month of February & the theme was "Ocean" (I`ve used images from OXFORD IMPRESSIONS & DARKROOM DOOR) , the next one is for this month`s theme "Birds of a Feather" (using one of TIM HOLTZ stamps for the b`ground & a bird image from CATSLIFE PRESS) I opted to use one of my favourite quotes ATM, "Use the talents you possess, for the woods would be a very silent place if no birds sang except for the best~Henry Van Dyke, it`s a great QUOTE for those days when you may question your art, or when you doubt your ability in any other endevour...or when you try to justify to yourself &/or to others the time spent doing what makes you happy :)
Now I`ll be off to try to clear up my messy craft table...Hope all is well in your part of the world, & don`t forget to check out my VERY FIRST post for ARTILICIOUS, thank you for visiting my blog, & please, feel free to leave a comment if you have the time...Have a good one :)

20 Years...You Still Rock My World!!
I felt the earth move last night...& before you get any funny ideas I`d better explain that we had a bit of a tremor here, 4.6 in the Richter scale, according to Geoscience Australia , I have to say it brought back memories of my childhood, having grown up in Chile, where tremors & earthquakes are commonplace, that`s one thing I don`t miss LOL.
I`ve been away from the computer for a while, I`ve been trying to finish a little book I`m making for my other half, to celebrate the fact that we`ve been married for 20 years (february 28th was our wedding anniversary) We`ve actually known each other for 23 years & have lived together for 22 years...Like the old saying goes "Time flies when you`re having fun" LOL. I thought I had given myself enough time, but I think I was working on handyman`s time, oh well... I will share a bookmark I made for him (I`ve made him bookmarks before, but he doesn`t use them, saying he doesn`t want to wreck them, so this time I told him he HAD to use it or else...)
On another note, my cyber-friend Cuchy, alerted me to an ATC exhibition happenning in April in New Jersey (USA) if you go HERE you can read about it, so I`ve been busy creating for that as well as making some return ATCs (which I can`t share just yet)
